Latest High-Performance MR-04 Chassis
Now the standard MINI-Z RWD model!
Enjoy the full experience of high-performance R/C car racing right out of the box—just insert batteries into the car and transmitter. Kyosho’s Readyset package makes getting started simple and convenient. The compact MINI-Z Racer is perfect for indoor driving and ideal for beginners as well as experienced R/C enthusiasts.
This MINI-Z RWD Readyset features the latest 4th generation MR-04 chassis, replacing the previous MR-03 platform. While retaining the proven design of the MR-03, the MR-04 introduces a lower center of gravity and redesigned steering geometry for sharper handling, greater stability, and improved cornering performance. The Readyset includes the standard MR-04 chassis used in higher-end models, paired with a reliable 130-class brushed motor and the Syncro KT-531P pistol-grip transmitter.
Simply install 4 x AAA batteries in both the car and transmitter and you’re ready to drive. Performance can be further enhanced with the extensive range of MINI-Z optional upgrade parts.

Faithfully reproduces the legendary Mazda Renown Charge 787B—the first Japanese car to win the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991, marking the final victory for a rotary-engine-powered race car.
The MR-04 chassis retains the strengths of the MR-03 while lowering the center of gravity for significantly improved stability, handling, and overall driving performance.
New front knuckles with integrated kingpins reduce scrub by 1.5mm per side compared to the MR-03. Combined with larger 3mm ball bearings, steering becomes sharper, smoother, and more precise.
The front suspension dynamically adjusts camber during movement to maximize tire contact through corners, while the revised caster angle delivers quicker steering response.
Powered by four AAA alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries mounted lower in the chassis than the MR-03, improving overall balance, cornering stability, and straight-line handling.
The rear suspension features a coil spring damper that absorbs road impacts for smoother handling and can be upgraded with an optional oil-filled shock absorber.
The flexible T-bar rear suspension supports the complete rear pod, including the motor and axle, delivering excellent suspension performance. Optional FRP and carbon T-bars are also available.
Full ball bearings are fitted throughout the chassis to reduce rotational resistance while using identical bearing sizes front and rear for simplified maintenance.
A front tread adjustment parts set is included to match different MINI-Z bodies. Rear tread can be adjusted by selecting different wheel offsets.
The included Syncro KT-531P pistol-grip transmitter features steering trim, throttle trim, steering dual-rate adjustment, and a beginner-friendly Training Mode that limits vehicle speed for easier control.
